With Remote Play, players in different physical locations can now connect and play together in the Arena. This feature is still in early development and is best suited for experienced players.
Once players' regions are confirmed, follow these steps to set up Remote Play:
- Both host and clients must enable Remote Play (Experimental) in Settings. You can find it in the Main Menu on the top right ⚙️ (cogwheel icon).
- Make sure your game is updated to latest version, check our update notes on our game page or on Discord. You can see it on the Main Menu, written on the bottom right.
- If you're hosting, create a map and share the room code with other players.
- If you're joining a game, enter the room by inputting the room code from the host. After joining, select Remote Play in the options. If you're in the same location as the host, select Colocated Play.
Colocated players can group and share anchor position while Remote players have to individually adjust their map even though they may be grouped together in a remote location.
Hot Tip: Create a group call with friends for easier communication before starting the Arena match. You can follow this Meta tutorial to set it up.
